Despite modest success in technology, health care, among other areas around the globe, the Muslim world is a more dangerous place to dwell due to the US foreign policies. The human cost (most importantly) as well as the economic costs can hardly be justified. Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, Palestine among others remain weak in midst of a civil war.

The violence and terror, death and casualty rates in these regions have increased exponentially; the people are less safe, less prosperous, have less access to everyday necessities like electricity, food and education than before the American led invasion. Although America is seen as part of the problem, not the solution.

A report from Watson Institute of International and Public Affairs at Brown University, stated that "The United States has appropriated and is obligated to spend an estimated $5.9 trillion (in current dollars) on the war on terror through Fiscal Year 2019, including direct war and war-related spending and obligations for future spending on post- 9/11 war veterans.

The flaunting of international law Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo, rendition and torture of prisoners and the erosion of civil liberties at home have further affected America’s image and credibility. Anti-Americanism has increased not only across the Muslim world but also globally. The American-led war against global "terrorism" is regarded as a war against Islam and the Muslim world. Ironically, polls show that many in the world now see the U.S. as arrogant, ruthless and a danger to world peace.

US, because of its enormous fuel use of by an organization that operates 24 hours a day all over the globe, the US Department of Defense (DOD) is the largest single user of oil and other petroleum products in the world. Between 2010 and 2015, the DOD purchased an average of 102 million barrels of fuel per year. The Pentagon thus emitted an average of 44 million metric tons of CO2 per year for this period, making it the largest sources of greenhouse gases.

Despite its promises, the US administration has failed to deliver on its excuse at the time of the invasion of Iraq about the presence of weapon of mass destruction in it, and to reinvigorate the Road Map in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. If anything, its failure to respond promptly and thus give free reign to the Israeli military during the Israeli wars in Lebanon and Gaza, the shipping of cluster bombs to Israel in the late days of the Lebanon war, and the cut off of aid in order to destabilize some of these countries has undermined U.S. credibility and moral authority.

Global Terrorism Database from the University of Maryland with civil war and insurgency data from the Uppsala Conflict Data Program in 194 countries report reveals that before 2001, countries with higher Muslim populations experienced less domestic violence/terrorism, while since 9/11, these countries have seen significantly more both domestic and international,  and an increase in those conflicts is likely a byproduct of this fact, foreign policies.

Watson Institute of International and Public Affairs at Brown University report also shows that "conservatively" more than 480,000 people have died as a direct result of fighting, over 244,000 civilians have been killed, another 10 million people have been displaced due to violence. These figures are far-fetched due to the result of study conducted by Neta C. Crawford. In that report tagged 'undercount' it was reported that over half a million people where killed in just three Muslim countries. The number of Muslims oppressed and casualties remain on the rise due this huge fueling by the American taxpayers.
