Implementing the penal code of stoning and limbs amputation is same as in the "Yasiq" constitution of the Tartars' which punishes fornicators by stoning without implementing the Islamic system of government. Just as the Sultan of Brunei governs with secular system of government which adopts freedom and liberalism as its basis. This is derogatory and is in fact a deliberate attack on Islam by the enemies of Islam in order for Muslims to lose confidence in Islam in its capacity as a political doctrine which provides solutions for all of life's affairs.
History says Sheikh-ul Islam Ahmad Ibn Taymiyah partnered with Sultan An-Nasser Ibn Qalawoon in his war against Qazaan who claimed to be Muslim and named him self Mahmood. It was proven to Ibn Taymiyah other wise, because Qazaan refused to completely uphold Islamic Shari'ah and He disrespected Allah's laws. He governed the Islamic country by the book of al-Yasiq (a constitution) which was a mixture of laws from Christianity, Judaism, Islam and the laws of Jinkeeze Khan himself. He discarded the laws that was sent down to the Muslims in the Qur'an and the Sunnah and this is the situation of Brunei and all Muslim nations today. Where are the ibn Taymiyahs' and Sultan Naseers' for the Jinkeeze khans' have been identified ?
Brunei and it's likes attempt to ridicule the Shari'ah and promote the idea that Islam is incompatible with 'modern' times. Although it can be argued that these are Islamic rules, the Shari'ah must be implemented in its entirety within a true Islamic State in which sovereignty is given to Shariah and not just mere rules implemented devoid of the Islamic system.
The Sharia penal code of stoning the adulterer and gay is to be enforced from Wednesday April 3, 2019, defying heavy criticism that has kept the brutal provisions on hold for the last four years.
Homosexuality is already illegal in the former British protectorate, but now it will become a capital offence. The law only applies to Muslims and punishment will also be “witnessed by a group of Muslims.”
There was widespread international condemnation when Brunei first announced the roll-out of the Sharia penal code – an Islamic legal system which prescribes strict corporal punishments - in 2014.
The implementation of the law has since been delayed as officials work out the practical details under heavy opposition from rights groups.
A notice on Brunei’s Attorney General’s Chambers dated December 29 last year quietly announced that the provisions would take effect on April 3.
However, a religious affairs ministry spokesman said that Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, Brunei’s leader, was expected to make an announcement on that date about the enforcement of Sharia.
“Only after the event we will know regarding the date of the implementation of the new laws,” he told AFP.
The action of Brunei's Sultan and other 'Muslim' leaders is a believe in part of the scripture and disbelieve in a part a stated in Qur'an 2 verse 85; ”Then do you believe in a part of the Scripture and reject the rest? Then what is the recompense of those who do so among you, except disgrace in the life of this world, and on the Day of Resurrection they shall be consigned to the most grievous torment. And Allah is not unaware of what you do." (Qur'an 2: 85)
Quran 47 verses 25 and 26 went further explaining; "Verily, those who have turned back (have apostated) as disbelievers after the guidance has been manifested to them, Shaitan (Satan) has beautified for them (their false hopes), and (Allah) prolonged their term (age). This is because they said to those who hate what Allah has sent down: "We will obey you in part of the matter," but Allah knows their secrets." Surah Muhammad, Verse 25- 26
