Kashmir Was Never Part of Pakistan and India is Older than Islam: Imam Tawhidi

A controversial Shiite scholar has stunned Pakistan by saying that Kashmir will never be a part of its territory.

Imam Mohammad Tawhidi, a self-described ‘peace advocate, made the statements after India scrapped Article 370 and Article 35A related to Jammu and Kashmir.

His statement which was posted on his twitter handle, @Imamofpeace, on August 11th reads:

Kashmir was never part of Pakistan. Kashmir will never be part of Pakistan. Both Pakistan and Kashmir belong to India. Muslims converting from Hinduism to Islam doesn’t change the fact that the entire region is Hindu Land. India is older than Islam let alone Pakistan. Be honest.

Tawhidi describes himself as a "Peace Advocate, Reformist Imam, Ordained Scholar, National Bestselling Author. Reject extremists, Far-Left/Far-Right; keep a balance in life," in his Twitter bio.

Known for his critic of Islam and Muslims and his shared love for the Jews and non-Muslims, one will wonder as to whether the Imam was truly a Muslim let alone an Islamic scholar. On Wednesday he made a statement criticizing Hamas saying:

Tell Hamas to pack their bags. Prophet Mohammad acknowledged the existence of Israel 1400 years ago in the most sacred book after The Quran, Sahih al Bukhari, book 60, #134. 

Tawhidi had wrote several articles on his website, which was meant to attack Islam directly or indirectly. For example: ISRAEL’S IMAGE NEEDS TO BE REVIEWED, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, THE WAR ON JEWS HAS TO STOP,  Is Jerusalem a Sacred Islamic City?... among other articles.

However, attackers of Islam always appears in different versions. While some appears outside the fold of Islam with open criticism, Tawhidi and his likes are examples of enemy withing, "wolf's in sheep skin".
