Tunisia the birthplace of the Arab Spring after 8 years of ‘revolution’, things are not settled with economic problems still being faced by citizens with many promises of change. It is time for all Muslim countries and their politicians, thinkers and sincere power holders to re-think and seriously examine the system they are partaking in. It is also time to wake up and realize our success does not lie in the Democratic system of governance but in the divine legislated way, the Islamic Shariah system.

It proves beyond doubt that it was only a matter of time before the Arab nations all of whom have remained complicit throughout the war upon the Syrian people in one way or another, were silently preparing to welcome the Syrian regime back, to once again give them the stamp of legitimacy.

Leader of Tunisia's Ennahda Party, Rachid Ghannouchi, claimed that Islam was a "flexible religion" open to "free interpretation and understanding". He said "we believe it (Islam) is a flexible religion that interacts with each environment, with each age, provided that we understand Islam properly and exercise the laws of ijtihad in terms of free interpretation and free understanding."

The article 18 of the Personal Status Code of the Tunisian constitution which criminalizes polygamy has drastically increase the number of spinsterhood in the country, these has led a group of women to rally individuals a protest in front of the parliament to condemn and call for legalization of polygamy

Tunisia’s government approved on Friday the law for gender equality in inheritance, allowing men and women equal inheritance rights. This came after the 92 years old President Beji Caid Essebsi launched the initiative in August last year on the occasion of the International Women’s Day, August 13, 2017.
